The Centro de Artes de Águeda (CAA) is a municipal facility that, in its public service mission, aims to build a regular, contemporary and eclectic artistic programme, guided by technical and artistic excellence, promoting close contact with the community with a wide range of languages and artistic disciplines.
Through a permanent Educational Service, CAA also aims to raise awareness and train new audiences, developing their critical, aesthetic and creative sense and promote the encounter between the arts and the various audiences and communities, proposing participative contexts in current times artistic.
Equipped with an Auditorium, a space for educational activities, a café-concert, an exhibition area and a bookshop, the Águeda Arts Centre is a central equipment in the cultural dynamics of the city and the region, which contributes to the integration of public policies on culture, developing links with other cultural facilities in the city in order to enhance a whole network of skills and competences in the field of artistic creation.
