This award represents the recognition of the good practices adopted by the Municipality in favor of sustainable development, consolidating Tábua's commitment to the continuous improvement of the quality of life of its inhabitants and the promotion of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The ECOXXI Green Flag highlights the Municipality's effort and dedication to preserving and valuing environmental and landscape elements, in addition to undertaking policies to raise awareness and involve the population in this collective project. Ricardo Cruz, Mayor of the Municipality, points out that this distinction reaffirms the strategy outlined by the Municipal Executive. A strategy focused on sustainability, preparing Tábua for the challenges of the future.
This year, 59 municipalities were distinguished as ECOXXI 2023. The ECOXXI 2023 results announcement ceremony took place on November 7, in the Grand Auditorium of the Taguspark Congress Center, in Oeiras, where Tábua received this important honor.
This recognition reaffirms the continuous commitment of the Municipality of Tábua towards more sustainable practices, promoting a balanced and quality environment for all its citizens.
