The project will be completed throughout the year 2020, is co-financed by the ERDF, under the Urban Regeneration Action Plans (PARU), and provides for the creation of a walking route, which extends through the village of Lourinhã, in circuit, in an extension of 3125 meters, along which will appear installed 13 models of dinosaurs in full size and a model of the head of the T-Rex, which will allow visitors to take a photo inside, and that will be installed in the Tourist Office of Lourinhã.
The Dinosaur Route starts near the parking lot of Praça José Máximo da Costa, which allows to stimulate its enjoyment in a pedestrian way, minimizing the use of the car, thus achieving environmental and health benefits of users.
The last point proposed for the route is the Tourist Office of Lourinhã, an option that aims to stimulate the contact of visitors with technicians and the consequent possibility of presenting other spaces and offers of visitation in the county. In this way, the Municipality of Lourinhã intends to present essentially the territory, the local heritage and also its tourist, hotel and commercial offer.
The Dinosaur Route will not have any associated cost for its visitors and will be endorsed with best practices in the field of accessibility and support for heritage interpretation. A point that meets the qualification and appreciation of Lourinhã as a tourist destination, in order to ensure that everyone can enjoy and enjoy this destination.
Of the 13 full-scale models that will integrate the Dinosaur Route, the T-Rex Tyranosaurus, 13 meters long and 4.20 meters high, the Lourinhanosaurus, 9.70 meters long and 3 meters high, and the giants Apatosaurus, 12 meters long, and the Diplodocusaurus, with 23.20 meters long, stand out.
The Dinosaur Capital is once again surprising everyone and everyone, with a Route that aims to foster local tourism and put dinosaurs one step away from all who visit it from 2020.
